Pokemon: The Grassy Hill
There's only one way to go from the Laboratory, and that's along the lane leading down the grassy hill. On the right side, there's a small farm where those of you that possess rideable Pokemon can learn to do so, as well as a farmer who could use some help herding their Mareep, Tauros, and Miltank. On the left side, there are large meadows filled with fruit-bearing berry trees, an ideal place for picnics and outdoor parties.

...is that really okay for fish?

[ with a pause, voice fairly feminine-sounding ]
Is it bothersome, though? Sorry about that!
no subject
...so it really does say that, and... I suppose I could believe it, seeing that?
Ah, I'm not bothered, it was just—surprising? I've been thinking of them like ordinary animals, but then again some of them don't look like animals at all...
[ this friend has trotted over from the trees to go sniff around the holes curiously, too. ]

[ with a laugh, as he looks to the new friend ]
Hello!
no subject
Aah, Simha, I know you're excited but that's rude—
no subject
Would you like some?
no subject
Oh, thank you... that's kind of you. I've been gathering them all this time, but I hadn't thought to offer him one.
I suppose none of them are really ordinary animals at all, as you said. I just thought I was out of practice of having pets.
no subject
. . . Eh?
[ with a pause ]
If you were not gathering them for him to eat, then . . . what were you gathering them for?
no subject
Ah—there were garden plots marked for each unit, so I thought I'd... grow more of them?
...more or less because at least it's something I know how to do, so...

[ she deflates a little bit, and folds down to take a seat on the ground, setting her basket down next to her. ]
Well, I suppose at least nothing was lost for all this.

[ drawing back so he can start feeding the magikarps who are flopping at him now - the black one in particular tries to sit on his lap ]
Alright, alright, sorry, sorry. Here. . .

This one is Renko-san, by the way, and this child is Onou-san.
[ with a gesture to the pink and the black ones respectively ]
Shrike-san, are you enjoying this game?
no subject
I... think I'm enjoying it? I suppose I should, since it seems like it's even required to be peaceful, and we've had little enough of that.
[ simha has meanwhile started sniffing at all the berries in the basket. ]

[ patting the pink fish ]
"O" is written with the character for "great", and "nou" is written with the character for "strong". "Nou" can be read as "koi", which is "carp" - so it's a play on words.
[ patting the black fish ]
I wondered if we were doing too poorly recently, but this game has me somewhat relieved . . .
no subject
It is... sort of a relief, to have a game that seems to prefer exploration and kindness. There's a lot of people where, ah... I don't think they could have taken much more.
no subject
[ with a bitter sort of smile, a soft tone to his voice ]
Ah -
[ and, just like that, it's gone ]
I picked them both out. Renko-san would be my beloved's.
no subject
Oh, that's—that's really sweet, naming them like that.
Ah, by the way—I thought I might be mistaken before, but it's Lucifel, isn't it? I wasn't sure, since we've only run into each other a couple times, but...
