Pokemon: The Shopping District

Once you've left behind the quaint little houses where everyone lives, you'll reach the shopping district. Here you'll find all kinds of restaurants and whether it's a cute cafe with desserts and drinks or a fancy place with four-star, four course menus both people and Pokemon are welcome. There are also a number of salon, costume, and toy shops catering solely to Pokemon so you can dress and pamper your partner properly. You can also procure raw items and tools to build and decorate those homes for your Pokemon from a number of the shops in the area.

[He messes with his phone for a minute, then reads off the information.]

"Sliggoo: Excretes and coats its body with a sticky mucous that can dissolve anything. Because it lacks teeth, it sprays this liquid onto prey and slurps them up once they are dissolved. Its eyes have devolved, causing it to go blind. This makes it difficult for it to tell allies from prey and it will sometimes attempt to melt its companions. Its four horns act as a radar system and are used to detect sounds and smells."

[ sliggoo tilts her head, but ultimately seems to agree that that's fair! ]

[ Charmander settles back on its haunches and looks completely blissful as he chomps down on his dessert. She rummages for her phone with her free hand and double-checks the rules. After she's chewed a bite of this fucking amazing taiyaki and then swallowed-- ]

If I'm reading this right, then everything is free--even food--so long as we don't try to take it out of the game.

It has! She was hiding in my hair earlier but now she's flying around a little.

[She certainly does seem happy!!! Just flitting around in the shade of the parasol before settling down on Nya's head.]

[Hhhhesitates, then turns right back around and gets another pair. Honestly, after that last game, the idea that they're just handing food out for free is. Kind of amazing.]

I don't really know what to do with the game, but I suppose we are to raise them. They fight, don't they? Maybe we could see them in action...?

[Snivy is suddenly much more attentive, struggling to get out of his arms fro a moment before it's dropped, landing on it's feet and looking READY for a battle.]

For real. I guess maybe since we have a grocery store no one has to pay for things back home they've loosened up the rules some? But either way, we should enjoy it.

[ this sort of opportunity definitely doesn't come every day. or week. or maybe ever before?? she'll go ahead and snag a second for herself and another for Charmander. ]

[Daring to give attention to someone other than him, the snivy chirps up to get Eichi's attention once more.]

[He's got a cherry blossom necklace and cherry blossom bracelets on and looks smug at the compliment. Good. Tell him how good he is.]

[ she and the eevee are almost synchronized in greeting ]

[Finishes up the first taiyaki and starts on the second one as he turns to follow her. Koosh is making an absolute mess of the one Hurricane's holding for him, eating just the shell and leaving the custard, to somewhat disastrous effect.]

Well... aside from the umbrella, a hammer, and nails... saws.... Bamboo or thatch? Things you'd need to build a house.

If it's a big enough town, we oughtta be able to get stuff like that no problem.

He would accept nothing less. I tried to name him after someone from home but he was quite insistent that I show him more respect.

[Seems he and his pokemon have much in common, not that Eichi will say that. Either way, Ebisu looks pleased by the praise.]

Certainly. It can be a little tiring.

[Ebisu gives an annoyed Snivy! at that, while Eichi sighs.]

But we've found something that we both enjoy so far. Shopping for things to wear~

[Snivy nods in agreement at the suggestion.]

Ah, Prim! What kind of a hat do you think? Like a little top hat...? Hahah~

A little top hat would look very chic, I think.

[ Her Cottonee does a little flip in agreeance before paffing against Eichi's shoulder gently. ]

It has a much different feel from just doing it on a phone or in the video room. It's way more fun this way.

[ and St. Germain trolls in agreement, which warrants taking him off her head for snuggles and scritches ]
