Pokemon: The Shopping District

Once you've left behind the quaint little houses where everyone lives, you'll reach the shopping district. Here you'll find all kinds of restaurants and whether it's a cute cafe with desserts and drinks or a fancy place with four-star, four course menus both people and Pokemon are welcome. There are also a number of salon, costume, and toy shops catering solely to Pokemon so you can dress and pamper your partner properly. You can also procure raw items and tools to build and decorate those homes for your Pokemon from a number of the shops in the area.

[ tbh, he couldn't have asked for a better series of pictures. ]

Yeah, I, ah, I'm fine. [ he grabs a hold of his head and looks around for goomy only to find sliggoo sitting there looking pleased... in the wrong direction. the poor thing evolves and turns blind. pokemon why. ]

Goomy are you okay? [ it turns around and immediately presses closely. ] Y- Yeah, I'm glad too. [ looks to cobalt like ??? ] I'm not sure, but, yeah, she grew! Into more of a slug... er, snail? [ she kind of looks like she has a shell on her back now. ]

Hang on, the phone has some kind of information app on it I was playing with earlier.

[He messes with his phone for a minute, then reads off the information.]

"Sliggoo: Excretes and coats its body with a sticky mucous that can dissolve anything. Because it lacks teeth, it sprays this liquid onto prey and slurps them up once they are dissolved. Its eyes have devolved, causing it to go blind. This makes it difficult for it to tell allies from prey and it will sometimes attempt to melt its companions. Its four horns act as a radar system and are used to detect sounds and smells."

Listen, just because it's covered in noxious mucous and tries to dissolve you sometimes doesn't mean you can't still be friends.

[puzzlers]

W- What, oh, I, ah... [ words, yugi, use your words. ] I do still want to be friends, it's just that, uhm, Sliggo? you can't sit on my shoulder anymore, okay? You're a bit too big and I... I kind of like not being... dissolved...

[ sliggoo tilts her head, but ultimately seems to agree that that's fair! ]

Maybe you could find a raincoat or something for those times when you want to carry her.

... [ he takes a knee and sets a hand on her head for a couple of seconds. ] I'd like that, and I'm sure she would too. [ sliggoo doesn't seem to be too torn up about having had her perch taken, since it would mean keeping yugi safe, but she also wouldn't complain about getting to sit there again. ]

I can probably get a couple of them too, since I, ah, imagine I'll be going through them... often...

Since you're crouching there, let me get a photo of you guys to make up for the other ones.

Sure! [ he smiles up at cobalt and sliggoo trills happily. ] Smile Sliggoo!

Now how about a selfie with all of us?

[ as soon as cobalt mentions the group selfie sliggoo is going to evolve again, this time into goodra. she trills happily and immediately reaches for everybody. ]

[ did somebody say group hug? did somebody also say goo! ]

[ he's too stunned to say anything, especially when she tries to take his phone and help with the selfie. what's that? he didn't want 20 pictures of the grass, that one store, and the sidewalk? TOO BAD. ]

[I guess they're all getting slimed!]

That's an impressive camera-activated growth spurt this thing can do!

[puzzlers]

[ yugi doesn't seem to mind, but he minds for everybody else, since he's not sure they're going to like being covered in goo. goodra doesn't seem to think about the consequences of the hug and instead is just thrilled to be able to give it. ]

I wonder if Deerling is going to evolve soon too. Goodra goo. [ yugi wriggles around and manages to free an arm to gently pat goodra. ] You want to let Cobalt take the picture now?

[Cobalt just goes ahead and holds his phone aloft to take a selfie, before anything else happens]
