Pokemon: The Beach & Bay

Keep heading past the downtown area and you'll come to a sunny beach and the ocean! There's a stall where you can trade your uniform for a unit-appropriate swimsuit so you and your Pokemon can enjoy the sand and the sea together! There's a cart nearby that gives out lemonade and ice cream for free to help you beat the heat. You can also take advantage of the local ferry: although there's a massive sign that reads "Safari Bio-Dome, Coming Soon!" for now it's mostly good for sight-seeing all the marine Pokemon in the bay or catch-and-release fishing off the side.

[Maki has changed into a swimsuit and grabbed an ice cream cone before heading down towards the water.

As she looks out over the waves, her Stufful, currently clinging to one of her pigtails like a koala, takes advantage of her distraction to dip one of its paws into her ice cream.]

—H-Hey! You're going to get your fur all sticky...

She's got her umbrella popped open, though her noibat doesn't seem nearly as bothered with the sun, squeaking excitedly and flapping ahead of her to meet maki ]

Hey! What is THAT, it's crazy cute.

Ah... it's a... Stufful, apparently.

[Stufful licks its paw off without remorse.]

[ noibat chirps an excited greeting to stufful!! hello!!! ]

Stufful...! Hey, little guy!

Mine's called a Noibat. Did you name yours? She's Pancake.

[ gestures to tinybat ]

[rollplayinghouse]

[Stufful just gives a curious head tilt.]

Ah, no, I didn't... Should I have?

Don't gotta if you don't wanna. I just thought it was cute, so.

[ Noibat squeaks a bit more, but ultimately just decides that stufful is a good perch, and sits atop it. on maki. everything's fine here. ]

[rollplayinghouse]

Ah, carefu—

[Unfortunately it is not fine, as Stufful immediately flails an arm to knock Noibat away with a shocking amount of force. Maki drops her remaining ice cream in the process of trying to stop this but doesn't manage to make it in time.]

S-Sorry...! She doesn't like being touched...

[ noibat gives a startled screech, but flaps a distance away, looking. hurt. no play?? 8(

REQ LURCHES TO CATCH THE ICE CREAM and also. does not make it. ]

Ahh-- ... well, that's just how it is sometimes. Most of these things seem to like being held though...

[ reaches up to grab pancake for hugs instead, come here. sad noibat squeaks ]

Koosh'll probably let you cuddle with him or somethin', dude, don't worry.

[Stufful settles back down and climbs a little further up Maki's pigtail, tightening her grip. Maki shifts awkwardly.]

Nah, it's fine. Pancake can deal.

You gotten anything done so far?

...Like what? I've done a few things, but...

Me an' Pancake did a battle with Hurricane and Koosh, and then we helped the daycare get built, a little. So we're taking a break now.

[rollplayinghouse]

I didn't know there was a building project... I did do an arena battle with Griffin and his Riolu, and gather some berries with King. I have no idea if any of it accomplished anything for the game, though.

Yeah, in the town!

... honestly I have no idea, I've just been playing around. If it's a game like this I don't really mind losing all that much... it's been kind of fun, too, so.

Yeah... I mean, it definitely hasn't been bad.

They're all really cute too.

Anyway, were you going swimming?

Ah, I dunno. I thought I'd go hang out by the water, at least. I don't know if Stufful would be interested in swimming.

Could always give it a try. Worst that happens is she doesn't like it, right?
