[ The room you wake up in is barren. The floor, walls, and ceiling are all metal, and the only furnishings are a large television-sized touchscreen monitor and a massive pane of glass cutting through the room, separating Wire from the rest of the unit. You can beat against the glass as much as you like, but it won't break. Both the touchscreen monitor and the elevator doors are on the same side of the room as everyone but the hostage.

Once Mukuro finishes his intro spiel, the monitor display switches to a catalogue of pictures of flowers, each with their name, associated meaning, and a checkbox underneath them: ]

[ On the left side of the screen is a sidebar with options for SEND, REVIEW SENT MESSAGES (currently empty), REVIEW RECEIVED MESSAGES (currently empty), and DESELECT ALL. You can send each flower only once, so any sent now cannot be sent in the next round, but you can send as many flowers as you like, even none. For Round 1, whatever you choose is sent to both other units. ]

[What the FUCK is this!!! Knocking them out like that, and waking up to find Nathan imprisoned and some bullshit prisoners dilemma??

Mori immediately jumps up and tries to activate his Heart Weapon, a pair of gauntlets, and starts punching the glass. He doesn't know if it'll summon in a game like this, but even if it won't, he has to at least try first.]

[ HONESTLY if Mori hadn't immediately started beating on the glass, she probably would have been the one trying. But. Well. If he's going to be the one freaking out, then she's going to have to be the voice of reason. ]

Mori! Stop, Mori!

What the fuck...

[Nathan's disoriented for a moment, he... he honestly hadn't expected to wake up separated from his team. But the banging of Mori's weaponized fists against the glass shakes him from his daze.

He transforms too, and tries punching at the glass - but it barely even seems to shake.]

[There's a second or two of stunned silence while he wakes up and he catches up with everything -]

[And then, yeah, this is bullshit.]

[He is trying to break in this glass - and when fists don't do anything, he hauls back and smashes it with the fake leg a few times.]

[Nathan's quickly realized the pointlessness of trying to break him free. Untransforming, he bangs on the glass to get Hurricane's attention.]

Forget it! Focus on the mission!

[He does stop after four or five punches, leaving his fist against the wall. Mori grits his teeth and tries to calm down, but he's so very angry. He's terrified. He doesn't know what to do.]

I know. I knew it wouldn't work, but, there has to be something.

[Well fuck this!!!!]

It won't budge - Nathan-san, can you still hear us through this?

[Right there with him, trying to kick this thing in with the fake leg. You'd think metal would do more than a fist, but... nope. No dice.]

[Welp! Breathing heavily, Nathan de-transforms and tries to take stock of the room.]

Yeah... yeah. Loud and clear.

This mission's bullshit.

[But he's going to stop trying to break the glass in, at least - subsides, breathing hard.]

I know.

[ she places her hand on his shoulder. ]

The only way we'll be able to get him out is to go along with this insanity.

[ which is. not great. but. ]

We can't compete against these creatures with powers that they've given to us.

We're not making a scratch - it's enforced, it wouldn't be that easy, but there has to be something we can do.

[Whatever anxiety Nathan was feeling took a back seat to the steely determination in his voice.]

[ this is going to sound a little bit cold, but somebody's gotta keep it together right now. ]

[He still doesn't look at her, he can't, but he tries to focus on Hiryuu's hand on his arm and ground himself in her calm.]

Then how? A game like this... What the hell does that guy mean, he'll never be the same? What is he going to do?

[ Well at least that's one person she doesn't have to dissuade from trying to break the glass. ]

Relax, Abi. We'll get Nathan out.

We're going to get you out of here.

[Mori says it with confidence, but it's hollow. He's terrified, and clinging to fury in the wake of that to stop himself from falling apart any worse. But his hands still won't stop shaking.]

Break their stupid screen in half?

...yeah. Yeah, you're right.

[Takes a second to pull hismelf together. Then:]

So how're we playing this?

[He nods.

They just have to stay focused, ok. He can do that.]
