Heart Game: Talon

Was it this late when you stepped into the Game Tower...? Now the sky above is dotted with a few scarce stars, occasionally obscured by some light cloud cover drifting by. Most of the night sky has been washed out by the bright lights of the city which, by the way, is spread out far below the rooftop that characters find themselves on. There's a faint buzz on their phones. When checked, the screen shows a Game Notice:

1. Locate the True Heart
Or
2. Leave a Lasting Mark

The skyscraper towers high above the streets, easily dwarfing any other building in sight. The city is some dozens of stories below, and the sound of the wind rushing by is louder than anything that can be heard from the streets. Occasionally the wail of a siren pierces the distance, but it's easier to spot the lights of an ambulance or police car zipping through the roads than it is to hear them. If you look closely enough, and for long enough, you might notice figures in the distance leaping between buildings, sometimes in pursuit of a siren or with an emergency vehicle trailing in the distance behind them.

The roof itself is expansive—the building must take up the better part of a city block, judging by the space available up here. A helipad (sans any helicopter) takes up the entirety of one side of the roof, complete with what looks like a freight elevator for moving things from the roof further into the building. The elevator itself has a keypad lock on it, but a staircase entrance beside it has no obvious lock in place.

The rest of the rooftop is empty save for a small, hooded figure perched atop one of the parapets along the edge of the roof, feet dangling over open air.

[ OOC NOTES:

1. Powers are on. THIS INCLUDES CANON POWER SETS.
2. Characters may keep any equipment they had on them when entering the heart, but there is a risk it will be taken away during the run. However all equipment taken will be returned when you exit the heart.
3. Significant changes/damage to the heart will reset each time someone new enters an area for the first time. For example, if Bob kills the sentry at the entrance of the heart, the sentry will respawn for Sally when she arrives. This way everyone can experience the different areas.
4. CAVEAT TO THE ABOVE: exceptions made for anyone specifically going through the heart with a partner(s), or anyone who requests to react to damage that's been done. The goal here is to allow everyone to have fun in the heart at the end of the day. ♥ ]

[Tucks the anti-toxin away and saunters toward the Heart Red Hood]

[there's a pause-- and he realizes, Griffin probably has no clue why he's abandoning that route.]

Only thing Talon knows about Joker is that he killed me.

You make him think you're me, then he's gonna kill you in whatever creative way Talon's fucked up heart wants.

[GROANS,]

Oh my god, why's this place such a pain in the ass.

[He's not deterred though! Still going for Heart Hood]

Because it's my brother.

[ Heart Hood is just finishing up with the cops, having gotten side-tracked tracking down the criminals who took off while he was busy bellowing at B. He's only just now stepping away from the police cars, muttering irritably under his breath—and then he spots Jay.

And kind of stops, staring at him from under the helmet with his head cocked to one side. What the fuck bud. ]

[Casually waves,]

Hey Hoodie!

Red Hood, how do you get that eyesore off?

Or tell him where to get a mask. C'mon. You know where all the toys are.

[he offers a shrug.

but also, he's noting that nickname griffin.]

[ Heart Hood rolls his eyes, not that they can see it, and reaches up to unlatch the fastenings on the helmet so he can pull it off.

He is absolutely wearing a domino mask under the helmet. ]

What the hell's he want a mask for?

Got hit by Joker gas and I don't wanna get fucked again.

[Playfully taunting,] You can either point me at a gas mask, or I'll borrow yours. Dealer's choice.

[he's got his hood up, and he's watching this exchange. what's Talon's heart gonna let Griffin do.]

[ Heart Hood's face twists in surprise and blatant disapproval. This is a bad plan!! ]

That's your plan? Get a gas mask and that's it?

I'm not really a planning kinda guy.

[Sorry, Hoodie. He knows you aren't gonna be happy with him.

Griffin might've been standing several feet away, but he reaches his arm out-- and a long, spectral demon hand crosses the space between them in the blink of an eye, snatching the helmet out of Heart Hood's hands.

And: an Appel for good measure.]

SORRY 'BOUT THIS!!

[WELL.

OK, GUESS THEY'RE BOTH KIND OF FROZEN RIGHT NOW.

god damn it, Griffin.]

[ YEAH GOD DAMN IT GRIFFIN!! He wasn't prepared for Appel, so uh. That works. ]

[ ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ sorry boys. Quickly steps back toward Jason - giving him a firm clasp on the shoulder]

[Cheekily blows him a kiss before RUNNING BACK TO THE PET STORE, BYE FUCKERS]

[HE'S SO ANGRY AT YOU RIGHT NOW, GRIFFIN.

[ Heart Hood practically growls as control comes back to him ]

No shit! What the fuck is he thinking?

[HE HAS A GUESS, BUT LIKE HELL IS HE GONNA LET HIMSELF ACTUALLY THINK IT.]

[he's a big boy, Jason is just gonna let him do what he wants, instead he fixes in on heart hood.]

Tell me you have other uses besides being Joker fodder.
