Hiryuu Ideal World {Session 3}

WELCOME TO IDEAL WORLDS: ANCIENT PSEUDO-KOREAN DRAGON GODS EDITION.

Your character's primary goal will be to convince Hiryuu to leave her ideal world. This is ICly known.

For the bulk of your character's journey (perhaps, even, the entire journey, depending on what they do along the way) your character will not have access to their unit's powerset. Please see the START for more IC information. Depending on how you go about your quest you may or may not encounter dangers or traumas.

Any items that your character had on their person before entering the game will remain with them for the duration of the game! However, all technological items will cease functioning before they leave the start area. Please see the START for more IC information.

In order to provide some guidance, key components / places are bolded, but just because something isn't in bold doesn't mean you can't interact with it. Go wild!

Your channel and ping for the duration of this game are both #/@dragonworld; please join your runner in the chan by typing .iam dragonworld in the roles-assignment channel. If you have any questions, or whenever your character is making an action/moving or otherwise needs gamerunner attention, you can ping me there.

[She scans them for several moments. Eventually, her eyes fall on the girl. She reeeeally stares at her for a minute are so. She doesn't have Hiryuu's horns or tail or any of that stuff. ...but. She never asked Hiryuu whether or not those were things she always had or if they were "changes" caused by their time in Hell. Even accounting for that, she doesn't look exactly the same. But she doesn't look totally different, either.

She eventually steps forward enough that the campfire illuminates her presence. She doesn't approach any further.]

Good evening.

[ The campsite chatter stops as all eyes come to rest on Northstar. The girl with the dark hair suddenly rises, startled expression turning into a genuine smile. ]

Northstar! I didn't expect you here.

[ She gets to her feet and makes her way over. As she does, a glint of light might catch Northstar's eye: she's wearing a simple ring on her finger. ]

I'm so glad you came for a visit!

[As far as not expecting this goes...] That makes two of us. [Still, she smiles as Hiryuu approaches. She doesn't know what she was expecting, but she's glad she found her this quickly. She takes another glance around the campfire.]

I'm glad to do so. Where am I visiting, exactly?

Ah, sorry, this is just our humble campsite... it doesn't really have a name! Are you hungry?

I certainly can't remember a time that I've turned down perfectly good soup. [Because she can't remember anything since she showed up in - y'know what, not the point.]

I wouldn't be intruding on anything with your friends, would I?

No, not at all. I caught a bear today, so we have more than enough stew for an extra person!

What did you catch it doing? Speeding?

[Stop.]

Huh? What's "speeding?"

[ what the fuck are traffic laws, ]

Like. Driving too fast...

Who are your friends?

[ good call. ]

Oh! That's right, you've never met them before. ... Well, most of them. You might have known Kija from Imeeji.

[ she points to the young man with white hair and a scaly hand ]

Then of course there's our mother, Yoon--

[ The boy wearing the apron shouts back that he's NOT ANYONE'S MOTHER, which earns some laughter around the campfire. ]

This is Hak--

[ she points to the man with black hair; he nods his head in acknowledgement-- ]

--Shuten--

[ she points to the green haired man, who gives Northstar a salute and a saucy wink-- ]

--Yellow--

[ this is apparently the golden-maned boy's name? ]

--and Abi.

[ She gestures to the boy with a mask, and then suddenly--something tiny scampers off of him and straight up Hiryuu. ]

... And this is the most important member of our crew. Please meet Ao!

[ She holds up the tiny squirrel--who holds out an acorn for Northstar to eat. ]

[She gives the green haired man a flat squint. Eventually, her eyes fall on the squirrel. She accepts the acorn with a smile.]

It's nice to meet all of you. I'm Northstar, a unitmate of Hiryuu's. I'm sure she's told you all about Heart Soldier Senshi already.

[ listen it's canon that he likes older women, that's not even a MISTAKE,

"Some of us were there," Hak drawls. ]

You can say it nicer than that, Hak. --He's right though. Shuten was on Taisho for a while--Abi was with us on Heart Soldier Senshi, before your time--and Hak was on Avante.

Ah.

[She looks over them.]

I haven't had a chance to meet any of you there, yet, my apologies. My first few days have been... [She lets out a snort.]

Let's call them eventful.

But.... you've been here for a year now, Northstar. Everyone has. Are you feeling okay?

... [Her eyebrow quirks up. To her credit, she doesn't react outwardly besides that.]

A year?

Yes. We all escaped Imeeji a year ago. You should be safe now.... has someone been giving you trouble?

[Ah.]

[She lets out a sigh and rubs her head.]

I'm sorry. I can't recall anything of the last year, Hiryuu. I remember my first few days in Imeeji...and little else besides entering this forest and finding you here.

What?! Why didn't you say that first? Northstar... please, come sit down.

[ she's going to try to usher her over to an empty spot at the fire ]

Did you hit your head? What happened?

[She goes along with it and sits down on a log.]

It must be something of that sort. Can you tell me what's happened in the past year?

[ she

pauses. it becomes... almost uncomfortably lengthy, actually, and hiryuu herself seems to be becoming uncomfortable--until she lifts her hand up to touch her necklace. and her facial expression smooths out. ]

A lot of things, really. I'm going to be getting married soon, today's my birthday, Hak and Soo-won are teaching me how to ride a horse and we have a big celebration going on at Senri!

[...a smile crosses Northstar's face. It's. It's genuine, but it's not particularly happy.]

That's wonderful, Hiryuu. Who are you getting married to?

[ u r gonna regret asking that question ]

Kija, Shuten, Hak, Wednesday, Ardashir, and Santa. And--I still have to ask Crow for permission, but maybe Phoenix, too.
