[ You all wake up in bed with your smartphone at your bedside, all of you in your sleepwear, with a message on your phone.

Good morning, newly departed guest stars! You've got new co-stars to meet, a new dorm to explore, and the television in the main room with the "names" of everyone in your unit with flashing empty boxes next to them, waiting for you to each assign yourself a personal color as well as a mythological creature (if that is available to you—some of you will have that option grayed out). Or assign them to each other, really, no one's stopping you.

Once you've chosen your color and creature (or, once it's chosen for you), your closets will unlock with 3 sets of traditional Japanese clothing fitted exactly to your size. Additionally, upon choosing your creature, you might find yourself suddenly with some new appendages (check Player Notes).

Also, the front door is currently locked. It looks like you actually have no choice but to get to know each other for an hour or two before those open up. ]

It is called a phone, or smartphone. Once you have chosen your position on the large screen, the door to your closet will unlock.

... Smartphone, then. From what I understand, we're expected to take part in a "game" to get our lives back. The strangeness of that aside, do you know what "Imeeji Idol Productions" means?

'Imeeji' is something like a particular visual concept, or aesthetic... It could be used to describe the sort of impression someone gives off, for example. An idol is an entertainer, which are managed by production companies. Imeeji Idol Productions is one such company.

You seem to know more about this than I do. Not to mention, no one seems to be panicking over the situation. [Not that he is either, but-] Am I missing something?

A... deal? The message said we were granted an "opportunity," but I don't recall making any deals.

Yes, an opportunity. Do you understand what it was, or no?

I understand that we have to win in a game of sorts to revive ourselves... or maybe compete would be more accurate. And from what you told me, this all really is designed as some form of entertainment. [sigh] I guess it's too much to ask to just pass on peacefully...

So you were offered your own revival, rather than that of another, even though you have no desire to return to life? How strange.

Was that an option? I have no desire to revive anyone in particular.

But since we've been lumped together like this, everyone here who wants to live- or revive someone- is depending on each other if we're to win, right? It'd be disrespectful to their wishes if I just watched. So I'll participate.
