There was a brilliant turquoise liquid in the bathtub, back there, with the smell of something delicious, to the point that I struggled to turn away—though the very fact that it was so tempting made me suspect its danger.
...That is to say: no, I definitely don't trust any food or drink here.
We're wondering if it might be significant, since we found a second note, written in the same hand as the first—and this one emphasizes "the light of a good time" the same way the other did with "pears."
[ reaching for her bag, still brushing off some vague nonexistent something-something - ]
Then, the pears end up producing light?
Has someone collected samples...?

I'm not entirely sure if I trust them.

Minty grass.

[ actually

what happens if she puts a pear in one of the mugs. ]
Re: BAR
It dissolves into the green, which begins to glow slightly and now smells like minty grass pears.

[ pause. takes a different mug, and summons a pocket knife to cut off a corner of the soap, which she drops in. ]

Re: BAR
It dissolves into the green, which turns into soap.
Re: BAR
Well, apparently that wasn't enough to make it change colors. The pear did better, at least if it's light we want.
Re: BAR
Hm?

Oh, I'm not really as clever as anyone else here or anything like that, am I?

Re: BAR
[ pause. uncomfortable. ]
It... truly does seem quite clever to me. And it's some kind of progress, too. I wonder if bits of pear would make all of them glow...?

Then, there should be ...
If it's making "light," then there should be other colors too, shouldn't there...? Here there is green, and this blue...

Re: BAR
[ this is an area beyond her Lore score. ]
But at this rate, I would guess that other colors might be found in other rooms—perhaps upstairs.
