Fight system

Fight System This battle system is turn-based. An action’s success will be decided with a simple dice roll to be specified in chan. Success against an enemy can be measured in successful attacks and weapon class. Weapon class: You can check a weapon’s class in its Stacia Window. A successful attack made with a Class 5 weapon may not kill a Goblin in one strike, but a successful attack made with a Class 15 weapon will! Try to find and wield stronger weapons for a better chance at a one-hit KO. Stronger foes will require better weapons-- or many, many turns and a lot of luck. This feels like a paid gacha endorsement, but it’s not. You have to explore and level up. You can’t whale for this. Imagination (Appendix): You can bypass the need for a dice roll by using the power of imagination in certain ways! My System 3 description wasn’t complete due to c&p fail, so this is a good time to remedy that. No matter what you do, you will always need a catalyst of some sort. For example, you may be able to Imagine a whip becoming a snake and have the snake perform an attack (why would you) (well, maybe you want to poison your enemy?!), but you won’t be able to summon a snake out of nowhere, or to turn a dagger into a snake unless you get really creative with your justification of why a snake might arguably have the shape of a dagger in a dormant state. We’d have to roll dice for this because of how far-fetched it would be. You can make your weapon bigger, but you can’t change its Class to a higher one. Basically, you cannot use the power of imagination to override the mechanics in place, but you can use it to maximize your chances. Please don’t consult whether something can be done or not OOCly! Let your characters the limits of this for themselves if need be (and avoid giving other people ideas in chan). In all cases, spatial resources will be consumed.

The branch doesn't catch fire, but your attack is successful and hits the goblin in its stomach. It grunts and takes a couple of steps back, momentarily surprised because you didn't seem to have a weapon... It doesn't let go of its weapon, but it's all he can do to keep its balance.

[quick as a wink remains on, so she takes a couple of steps back to try and light the branch on fire, eyes darting from the goblin to Eugeo for a second]

The branch catches fire! You look just in time to see Sol cut off one goblin's head as part of a sword skill, and then turn around to block the other goblin's attack, pushing it off with a kick-- and in that split second, the goblin swings its bloodied mace at you, going for your arm.

QUICK AS A WINK IS STILL ON, and as every memodef player knows maces are slow, so before that hits she's just lunging forward with her branch on fire, aiming straight for the goblin's face]

The sounds the goblin makes when that connects can only be compared to the putrid, smoky smell of burned goblin. Congratulations and good luck if you expected to eat anything after this... The goblin falls down, grabbing its face. It's not dead yet, but it wishes it was.

[Yes. No. No. He's standing his ground, but his leg is bleeding. This goblin seems to have the upper hand, as well as his arm up in the air ready to hack at him with his axe.]

Yuuki doesn't get its face, but she does get its shoulder! The goblin grunts and takes a couple of steps back. It's very angry... and is now focusing on her instead of Sol... but the pain is too much for him to act at the moment.

[taking advantage of that to lunge at the goblin again... aiming for its torso... and slams herself into it with the weight of her whole (QUICK!!!) body]

The goblin is surprised, but it has a sturdy frame. Quick or not, her body is on the smaller side, and not made of flames! So he can take her attack without losing his balance, and in fact does that, grabbing her head with one hand to keep her where she is while grabbing blindly at her arm with his other hand, trying to take the branch away from her.

[Sol manages to get on his feet, and the first thing he does is to raise his sword to swiftly cut off its head.]

god this is sooo messy and so disgusting, but who has time for any of that??? not her. time to run back to the first goblin and, assuming he's still on the ground, hit him in the face with the branch]

The goblin lets out a pathetic wail. Are you trying to be cruel? Please put it out of its misery.

I guess you can keep going... This goblin sure learned his lesson...

[When Sol finally makes it back to the dying bonfire, he. He'll. He'll just stab the goblin through its heart with his decent-class sword to avoid spooks.]

after a second, she tosses the branch back into the fire]
