Mori's heart
All at once a rainbow of bright lights feels as if it is bursting through you. It is an intense experience, but not an unpleasant one. As the colours burn through your skin, and lighting begins to spark through your veins, you feel stronger, you could take on the world right now.
Faintly in the distance, beyond the iridescent light show that overwhelms your vision, you can just about make out some silhouettes, but they’re too blurred, too indistinct and too far to tell anything about them. You can’t see them, but you know they’re welcoming you. You’re wanted here, you’re needed here, and the light is guiding you where you’re meant to go.

One of the trees crashes down in front of your path, and you hear someone laughing.
no subject
He scans the trees and picks one out that doesn't look in immediate danger of falling. He fires one of his grappling guns at the top branches and uses the line to haul himself up where he can get a birds' eye view of the area, looking for anyone that seems out of place or, more importantly, like a child left alone. ]

He's walking away from the bodies of two people, getting ever closer to the child's hiding place. You can see it clearly from the trees, he's hidden himself in a small cave area obscured by some bushes, frozen in terror. He'll be found any moment now.

Talon adjusts his direction, recalling his first grappling line and firing the second gun at a second tree, setting up a line that will allow him to swing down into the man's path. He waits one second, two, and then leaps from the tree, swinging with his legs poised to, hopefully, land a surprise kick on the man to knock him off his feet and force his attention away from the boy's hiding place. ]

The kick lands, but knocking the man off his feet is more difficult than that. He's too large, too heavy to take down in one hit. He staggers, but simply reaches out to grab Talon's ankle.
"What's this? A kid playing hero?"

"Hahaha! You don't talk much, huh kid? But your hits are pretty weak."
no subject
Sorry, did you want to chat? I'll gladly accept your surrender whenever you'd like to give it.

He steps forward, a malicious grin on his face, and his muscles start to shift, muscle fiber rising up to a massive size, straining to the point that his skin can't contain it.
He charges at you with ridiculous speed.
no subject
He darts—forward? And leaps straight up, trying to plant a hand on the big guy's shoulder just so he can make it all the way over to get behind him. ]
no subject
That said, Talon's leap is a good move and he manages to get behind him, but Muscular is still fast and turns just as quickly to try and punch him in the back as hard as he can.
You maybe don't wanna get hit by this guy.
no subject
He drops to the ground like dead weight to dodge that, and even then he can feel Muscle McGee's fist grazing the hair at the back of his head. He rolls onto his side as soon as he hits the ground, aiming one of the grappling guns straight up at the guy and firing. It's not meant to be a weapon, but at such a close range he's hoping it stuns him for a few moments. Long enough for him to attempt a real attack. ]
no subject
"Not good enough, not good enough, can't you do any better kid? Don't come running into the big leagues if you can't put up."
1/2
His free hand drops to his belt, fumbling wildly in what looks like panic for anything he can use, eyes wide and frantic as he can manage to appear behind his mask. ]
Don't— Don't underestimate me!

"Ghk- little brat, you've got some bite, huh!"
Unfortunately he still has one hand, and though he doesn't have a knife, is going to try and cripple Talon's arm right back, slamming a strength enhanced fist into it hard enough to shatter bone.
no subject
[Just straight up clocking this guy in the back of the head, here, hoping to make him let go of Talon.]
no subject
It may not move him out of range fast enough to avoid that fist, but the change in position changes it from a direct hit to a glancing (and still quite painful) blow. ]

Dude. What the hell? Did you do all this?
no subject
If you're asking about all the downed trees, yeah. I got a good look at the path of destruction he left.
no subject
But he just keeps laughing.
His exposed muscles flare up, it seems like they don't just enhance his strength but also provide him with some protection, so while the kick to the temple hurts like hell it doesn't take him down, and he's able to reach back and drag Hurricane off of him to stand. He's going to throw Hurricane at Talon.
"Hahaha! I did more than just that brats, but it's not enough. I wanna rage more! I want to see more blood! I'm not letting you take me down like that, I'm nowhere near satisfied."
no subject
[He twists around mid-air, until he's just hovering.]
Uh huh. Laugh it up, dude, cause you only got like five more seconds thinking it's funny.
Newsflash: you can't always have what you want.
no subject
[ He settles into a fighting crouch, tensed to dodge in whatever direction he needs and switching his knife to his good hand. ]
Target his joints. Crippling will be more successful than trying to take him down through force.

"Ha! That's expecting a lot from another kid who's not even a hero. Do you really think he can manage it?"
