Castle Game: BAD END=DEAD END

[Suddenly, you hear the wailing of a horn. Outside, tension is turning to panic. You can't see anything, but you can hear people gathering up their things, sobbing in fear or speaking in harsh whispers. A lone voice calls from the distance:

The enemy approaches!

Upon the map, an unfamiliar geography appears -- several small nations, clustered together. Outside of them, an endless sea of enemy forces, identified only by a symbol of a cracked skull. Each of the small nations is marked with a flag in one unit's colour, and a tiny model of a castle.

You are at war. How will you protect your people and yourself?

You could have at least fucking told us so we could avoid Wild City getting the wrong fucking idea!

What was I supposed to tell you exactly?

Literally anything that could mitigate the damage of two months of Wild City being up in arms about this!

It was either break the trust of the person who asked me to do it, or break the trust of Wild City. And that's not even a choice.

If Wild City hates the rest of you for what I decided to do, then do you really want their friendship? And I already told Silk I would fix it if that is what they want.

I had thought about it. If you hadn't noticed, Wild City isn't easy to talk to. Hell, even Zrael is approachable. What was I supposed to do, walk up to their door and then get murdered on the spot? And then have them come murder the rest of you? They aren't exactly reasonable.

You didn't factor in break the trust of the rest of your unit.

And I know Wild City isn't easily approachable--Haruto is the one I know best outside of North, and that's barely saying anything because he's cagey as hell and won't let people close! But I worked at it, and have been getting somewhere! And now there's this giant reason he and the person he's closest to on that unit who is the unit leader have zero reason to keep giving me chances! At all!

And now even North, someone I know from home, has been given reason to doubt me!

If I'd known about any of this, I could have easily just gone over there and claimed responsibility since I'm the fucking idiot who summoned the goddamned demon in the first place!

Look, I'm not saying it isn't dumb in hindsight, because it is. And I've already told Silk I'd undo it. And you may owe them that, but I'll make that decision for myself.

And because, Joker, anyone that knows you, understands that you would never ask me to do that. You'd ask Silk or Tatsuya or Phoenix. We just don't work that way. So Haruto and your friend have nothing to worry about. Or maybe they don't know you at all.
