Pokemon: The Shopping District

Once you've left behind the quaint little houses where everyone lives, you'll reach the shopping district. Here you'll find all kinds of restaurants and whether it's a cute cafe with desserts and drinks or a fancy place with four-star, four course menus both people and Pokemon are welcome. There are also a number of salon, costume, and toy shops catering solely to Pokemon so you can dress and pamper your partner properly. You can also procure raw items and tools to build and decorate those homes for your Pokemon from a number of the shops in the area.

[ Charmander makes an excited noise and looks up at Hiryuu with big, pleading eyes. IT'S REALLY HARD TO SAY NO TO THAT FACE.... ]

Well, it wouldn't hurt to pick out something to play with while we're doing the un-fun shopping. But we'll probably need their help some to get the job done faster.

Ah - yeah, guess that's true.

They could totally be playing ball in the home improvement aisle or something, though.

As long as nothing gets broken, there's probably no harm in it. C'mon, we'll make a quick stop.

[ Blaze is OVERJOYED and claps his tiny hands together before scurrying in the door, squeezing hit tiny body into the space between her legs and the door to get inside as fast as possible. ]

[Absently licking the leftover custard from Koosh's second taiyaki from his fingers as he follows her in, Koosh tucked into the crook of his elbow.]

What kinda stuff you wanna play with, anyway? What do birds like, bells?

I'm not sure. I've never had a bird... Maybe mice toys?

[ Charmander is tottering over to a stand with squeaky toys. he picks up a rubber bone and chomps it with his mouth, making it squeak

and frankly, he looks really thrilled. But before Hiryuu can asks him if that's what he wants, he's already running off, looking for more. ]

Ah, hey wait!

[ Running... after this naughty child... ]

[Cool. While she does that, he's just going to pick up this fluffball in both hands and kind of... walk him by the toy aisle, like a divining rod, until he picks something he likes.]

[ Eventually--she makes her way back, Charmander secured in her arms. Charmander has a toy tucked under each arm and the squeaky bone in its mouth which it's still just happily chomping away at. ]

Have you had any luck?

[Koosh has a mirror, and a bell, and a ball with lots of hooks and levers with a treat hiding in the middle. He's already trying to do the puzzle to get it out.]

Found a couple things.

Oh? That looks like some kind of puzzle.

Some kinda bird toy.

Seems like he likes it.

It looks that way. Blaze is... he's got himself plenty too.

[ she's a little embarrassed by this greedy lil guy.... but she also finds it a little endearing. help her. ]

[His arms are now full of bird and also... toys.]

All right.

[ It feels a little weird to be taking all of this without paying but--the clerks are looking right at them? Waving them goodbye? Apparently... it's really not a problem. So they exit, with zero incident! ]

Well... then that just leaves are last stop. Hardware.

[ onward to... the Home Depot of the Pokemon world. ]

[Stepping right on in when they get there, and looking around at the frankly cavernous warehouse-style building.]

...man. They didn't cut corners with this place.

They have everything here.

[ Even things she's never seen before??? ]

I kinda want one of these for the city, now. Imagine all the cool stuff we could make.

Ah, you're right! I wonder if we could ask for something like this in the next upgrade--do you think people would vote for it?
