Pokemon: The Shopping District

Once you've left behind the quaint little houses where everyone lives, you'll reach the shopping district. Here you'll find all kinds of restaurants and whether it's a cute cafe with desserts and drinks or a fancy place with four-star, four course menus both people and Pokemon are welcome. There are also a number of salon, costume, and toy shops catering solely to Pokemon so you can dress and pamper your partner properly. You can also procure raw items and tools to build and decorate those homes for your Pokemon from a number of the shops in the area.

[Well, apparently a bit absolutely nothing because of course now he's just sitting there like the best panda in the world and letting her pet him.]

... oh, well apparently he likes you. He keeps trying to fight my ankles.

[Has to laugh at that, petting Ryu behind the ears]

Were you really trying to fight his ankles, Ryu?

I think he thinks if he just tries hard enough he'll eventually be able to pick me up and toss me over his shoulder.

[Ryu grumbles contentedly to himself. Petting is nice.

[The thought of throwing Ken halfway across the street is nicer.

Isn't that a compliment in a way? It must mean he thinks you're really strong if he's using you as his ruler to measure his strength by.

... Huh. I hadn't looked at it that way before. Maybe he is trying to prove something to me.
