Pokemon: The Shopping District

Once you've left behind the quaint little houses where everyone lives, you'll reach the shopping district. Here you'll find all kinds of restaurants and whether it's a cute cafe with desserts and drinks or a fancy place with four-star, four course menus both people and Pokemon are welcome. There are also a number of salon, costume, and toy shops catering solely to Pokemon so you can dress and pamper your partner properly. You can also procure raw items and tools to build and decorate those homes for your Pokemon from a number of the shops in the area.

[ sharknado has evolved! but he's still eating napkins... oops. ]

[ she sits up when she hears wednesday approach and gabite immediately looks at the ice cream she's holding. where did she get that? he wants some? can he have a taste? d.va, as if she knows what's going through his head, sets a hand on it. ] You had enough to eat.

[ and then to wednesday: ] Ever since he evolved he's been trying to stuff himself stupid. I'm hoping it'll pass, but... [ eyes him. ]

Well... maybe he's just hungry? He did just get a lot bigger...

[Hikaru has pokepuffs... and does Sharknado appear to be eyeing those, too? He's taking no chances and runs up Wednesday's arm to nibble on them from the safety of her shoulder. These are mine.]

Are you all right though, D.va-chan? You look sort-of tired...

He's had enough food.

[ gabite looks in her direction, looking somewhat affronted for her having spoken such an untruth! ]

But, yeah, maybe. [ she reaches out to jab his middle. ] If he's not careful though he's going to be back to looking like an orb with a mouth.

Gabite. [ gabite turns his attention to the pokepuffs, licking his lips and... staring. you're not going to eat all of them, right? how about sharing? ]

I'm kind of tired, yeah. We were out on the hills herding a little while ago and... been just kind of running around a lot...

An... is that what he looked like before?

[Yup. The app confirms it. Before he'd evolved, he really did look quite a lot like a basketball with teeth.]

That's actually kind of cute?

[She blinks.

[Hikaru appears unmoved by the cuteness! He is also looking carefully at Gabite while he works on the pokepuffs. Excuse me this is my lunch you're making eyes at, mister.]

Oh, I haven't been to the hills yet. I sort of got distracted by all the shops... there's so much here! It's a good thing they didn't have clothes, too, or I'd probably still be stuck there.

Kinda. [ she's about to take out her phone to show her some pictures she took of him, but she finds the answers in the pokdex app. ]

He was super cute. [ she reaches up to pat his head again. ] Still is, even though he's become a bottomless pit. [ she sticks her tongue out at him. ]

Maybe not for us, but there's plenty of clothes for our pokemon. I think there's a beauty pageant too, if that's your thing.

[ gabite huffs. sharing is caring!!! ]

Oh, did you take pictures?

[She sees you going for your phone there...!]

I didn't want to bother you or anything, but I'd love to see the photos if you have them. I've probably taken way too many of Hikaru...! He was trying so much on. But I couldn't decide what suited him best, so I thought I'd have a think over some food and then go back for the best ones.

I took a bunch, actually. [ since she gets the feeling that as soon as the game ends the pokemon are going to... leave. she hopes she's wrong, but if she's not, then at least she's got a bunch of great memories to cherish. ]

[ she'll show off all of the pictures she's taken so far and there's a lot! ]

[Enjoy a whole bunch of Eevee Photos. The most recent one is, uh, of Hikaru eating Pokepuffs while Sharknado looks on in judgement from the corner of the frame. More relevantly, though, he's posing with a wide range of different accessories, including ribbons, bow ties, necklaces, sunglasses and a whole assortment of flowers and flower crowns.]

I... haven't worked out what to do to make him evolve yet. I think he's just supposed to like me a lot or something? But I'm glad I got lots of pictures of him as a baby!

[ she has taken a bunch of selfies of herself, sharknado, and other trainers and their pokemon. there are definitely a couple of just the two of them and then just sharknado doing a bunch of random things. ]

I’m not really sure what makes any of them evolve, but if you keep this up, then he’s likely to evolve in no time! But we could totally join you. Maybe he’ll convince Sharknado to dress up a bit too.

[ gabite is still eying those poke puffs btw. ]

I'd love it if you both came with me, actually! Maybe we could find Sharknado-kun something that would suit him, too! They have so many things there, I'm sure there must be something he'd like. Maybe some sunglasses or something...?

Maybe. I'm not so sure he's interested in finding anything like that, but, who knows, you two could be the ones to finally turn that attitude around. [ gabite isn't paying their conversation any mind, since he's still entirely too focused on the food. she's not even going to share one?? really??? come oooon. he huffs a snort and looks aside. well fine! ]
