Pokemon: Downtown

This is where people come to play it seems. The Battle Arena, where you can challenge your friends, rivals, or anyone really, sits side-by-side the town's Pokemon Center where you can get your Pokemon healed for free after a rousing battle. You and your Pokemon partner (even your entire unit!) can star in short plays to be aired at the movie theater or even beauty pageants showcasing their new hair-cuts and clothes. There's a karaoke bar, a small theme park, an arcade.

[if you visit the movie theatre you'll get to see a NEW HORROR MOVIE starring lavender of lilis and her pokemon partner, named "jack" in the title credits.

lavender and jack are exploring a dark, creepy, abandoned, clearly haunted house. jack is the only source of light as the two head deeper into the house, to the soundtrack of minor-key strings and creepy laughter........]

[suddenly, jack's light goes out! the whole house goes dark! jack quivers with fear. lavender says her lines, sounding weirdly stilted and somehow overly-passionate?]

"Jack, don't give up! We can't lose hope!"

[maleficafe]

[fueled by the strength of his trainer, jack gathers his strength and bursts into a huge flame for just a moment, before reverting to his normal state.

but in that moment of light, plainly visible is a house filled to the brim with dozens of mismagius...!]

[what will our heroes do now?! a frantic chase sequence through the house follows, with lavender and jack fighting some very convincing cgi mismagius.

lav is still not a great actress but look, she's doing her best. jack is doing his best. it's entertainingly bad, the way all good horror movies are]

[anyway i won't spoil the ending, but you can find the ~stars~ of today's movie sitting outside the movie theatre, enjoying some well-earned ice cream]

[Taking a seat at their table, her flabebe happily settled on her head]

Oh, hi. Is that your partner? It's cute.

Isn't she? Her name is Tsubaki!

Tsubaki... so you match. It's nice to meet you, Tsubaki. This is Jack.

[the litwick gives a tiny wave]

Jack...how cute!

[jack's flame flickers happily]

We were in a movie together. It was a lot of fun. You should try it out, too.

Ah, maybe! We were thinking about going to take a nap though, since it's already been such a busy day. I heard there's a really nice grassy hill not far from here...

A nap does sound nice... all that acting wore me out.

Mm, we made a sandcastle at the beach and then went shopping with Miss Prim... Would you like to join us?

Yeah. I think we would.

[jack makes a little chirrup noise of affirmation]

[and guess who is here, carrying a pokemon that looks like a stuffed animal.]

That was real cool~ just watchin' made my heart race a bit. [guess who really likes creepy things. and cute things. and both.]

Haven't thought of one yet, but she needs a real good name. And Jack's real cute too.

You could give her a flower name, like LiliS.
