Pokemon: Downtown

This is where people come to play it seems. The Battle Arena, where you can challenge your friends, rivals, or anyone really, sits side-by-side the town's Pokemon Center where you can get your Pokemon healed for free after a rousing battle. You and your Pokemon partner (even your entire unit!) can star in short plays to be aired at the movie theater or even beauty pageants showcasing their new hair-cuts and clothes. There's a karaoke bar, a small theme park, an arcade.

The fashion show goes. Well. Ditto is still an oozy blob child. Not a soft pokemon

Hey B! [ he has a blob pokemon too, and she's wearing a cute sailor hat and sitting perched on his shoulder, which is covered in slime. ]

[ sits down beside b to watch the show. ] Which one is yours?

[ Charmander comes scampering up to try to get a good look at what's going on. ]

[ she grabs gible and her phone and stumbles down the path, motioning for him to follow as she heads to the downtown area. ] It's not too far. We're almost there a- and we'll get him patched up good as new. [ guilt guilt guilt. ]

I really like their outfit. It's cute! I did my best with Goomy and... I think she looks nice. [ goomy trills and leans out to look at b. ]

[This is the worst day of his life. Worse than that time he got killed. Worse than when he almost starved to death. His puppy just got hurt, he's the worst dad ever.

Griffin's trying to keep it together as he holds Riolu close to his chest and runs, trying not to shake the poor pup too much.]

[ and it's not too much further. she starts to slow down to let griffin pass and head inside. s- she's not sure she should go in. she feels fucken terrible. sets gible down and crouches down. ] We need to be more careful, bud, this is... I messed up. [ she bonks her head with his and then stands up, heading inside to check on griffin. ]

[ gible hesitates, but ultimately follows. he's going to keep his distance though. ]

I'm not sure. I got her a hat, but I wasn't sure what else she might look nice in. Clothes don't really, ah, suit her.

[if you visit the movie theatre you'll get to see a NEW HORROR MOVIE starring lavender of lilis and her pokemon partner, named "jack" in the title credits.

lavender and jack are exploring a dark, creepy, abandoned, clearly haunted house. jack is the only source of light as the two head deeper into the house, to the soundtrack of minor-key strings and creepy laughter........]

[suddenly, jack's light goes out! the whole house goes dark! jack quivers with fear. lavender says her lines, sounding weirdly stilted and somehow overly-passionate?]

"Jack, don't give up! We can't lose hope!"

Maybe a wig like my child?

[scooping up Ditto]

Or a cape?

[fueled by the strength of his trainer, jack gathers his strength and bursts into a huge flame for just a moment, before reverting to his normal state.

but in that moment of light, plainly visible is a house filled to the brim with dozens of mismagius...!]

[what will our heroes do now?! a frantic chase sequence through the house follows, with lavender and jack fighting some very convincing cgi mismagius.

lav is still not a great actress but look, she's doing her best. jack is doing his best. it's entertainingly bad, the way all good horror movies are]

[anyway i won't spoil the ending, but you can find the ~stars~ of today's movie sitting outside the movie theatre, enjoying some well-earned ice cream]
