Pokemon: Downtown

This is where people come to play it seems. The Battle Arena, where you can challenge your friends, rivals, or anyone really, sits side-by-side the town's Pokemon Center where you can get your Pokemon healed for free after a rousing battle. You and your Pokemon partner (even your entire unit!) can star in short plays to be aired at the movie theater or even beauty pageants showcasing their new hair-cuts and clothes. There's a karaoke bar, a small theme park, an arcade.

[ H....Hi? He waves at the Dratini while thinking to himself, don't break eye contact. When something is looking at you in the eye that's probably a bad idea to do. ]

It's certainly going to catch someone's attention.

[ Small Oshawott is waving his schallop like please, this guy actually wants a fight, it's totally fine right? ]

...And I have an otter that's been dying to get a spar in with someone, so...

Is that what that is? An otter?

[Says the guy with a snake-dragon]

[Dratini is immediately distracted by Oshawott waving and trills something in greeting. Oh? Are we going to play?]

I'm pretty sure it's an otter, yeah.

[ This Oshawott is admittedly unusually quiet, but at the greeting he pauses, before nodding. Sure, they're going to play. It'll be fun (and a great training experience)!

Eclipse sort of has a face of someone wondering about the things he does for love but he is nonetheless making his way onto a platform. ]

So, uh...how does this work?

First pokemon to knock out the other pokemon wins according to the official rules. Unless you'd like to add some house ones for a challenge.

[And while Intensity is explaining this, Dratini tries to oh not so subtly loop once around the Oshawott's waist. It chirps happily throughout the entire process]

Are you saying you'd like to suggest a house rule or two?

[ Oshawott is...confused...? It's a greeting hug? Trying to pat Dratini on the head, hi friend (?) ]

[It is a greeting hug! It also doubles as a greeting pull when it tries to coil back and pull Oshawott into the ring]

Of course. This is a production, right? So let's make it a real show with real stakes.

Loser has to help the winner with one of those ridiculous tasks at the laboratory. Winner's choice of course.

[ Oh, that was where he wanted to go anyway so Oshawatt will allow this. This is friendship??? ]

Dratini bounces happily in the center of the arena like a slinky - sometimes on her side of the field and sometimes on Oshawott's as she waits for everyone to take their positions.]
