Pokemon: Downtown

This is where people come to play it seems. The Battle Arena, where you can challenge your friends, rivals, or anyone really, sits side-by-side the town's Pokemon Center where you can get your Pokemon healed for free after a rousing battle. You and your Pokemon partner (even your entire unit!) can star in short plays to be aired at the movie theater or even beauty pageants showcasing their new hair-cuts and clothes. There's a karaoke bar, a small theme park, an arcade.

[D.Va... he goes over to her side, reaching out with a light touch to her arm to reassure her.]

We're all new t'this, all right? It's okay.

... [ she sighs. ] I guess. [ but that feels more like an excuse for her being a bad trainer. ] I'll do better though... and we'll be more careful, right, Sharknado?

[ he looks back at her and makes a few noises while nodding his head. ]

Let's head out.

[No, wait. It feels like pushing her into doing something... pretty uncomfortable. Riolu was starting to whimper too, feeling the waves of guilt emanating off her.

Griffin tries to keep his tone light, but he's worried too.]

How 'bout-- they can have their rematch another time. Once they're really ready. We have plenty of time to hone up on our training.

[ she realizes that she's being a downer and tries to find it in herself to smile and to turn her mood around. it's difficult though, but she eventually turns to face everybody. ]

Riolu, what do you want to do? If you'd like to test your mettle against Sharknado, then we can head to the Battle Arena. [ gabite, stomps his feet and gets in a ready position, though his expression betrays him, because he's looking more playful than serious. ]

[Riolu sees that emotion. He sees all.

So maybe it's not surprising that he puts his paw on D.Va's hand empathetically, with a look of understanding in his eyes. No fighting if it makes her sad. Then...

Points his other paw toward the ritzy sweets shop across the street. Griffin laughs,]

I guess they do deserve a treat after all that.

[ ...dammit. she looks at his smol hand and sighs. ] I just don't want to see anybody get hurt again, though... I suppose that's inevitable when battling is just something you guys do. [ she retrieves her hand, but only so she can gently pat his head. ]

I think we could all use a treat. [ or a drink. ] Gabite? Gabite! Gab! [ did someone say food? he's all for that! ]
