Pokemon: Downtown

This is where people come to play it seems. The Battle Arena, where you can challenge your friends, rivals, or anyone really, sits side-by-side the town's Pokemon Center where you can get your Pokemon healed for free after a rousing battle. You and your Pokemon partner (even your entire unit!) can star in short plays to be aired at the movie theater or even beauty pageants showcasing their new hair-cuts and clothes. There's a karaoke bar, a small theme park, an arcade.

[Pokes through the rules for a minute or two, which Koosh chatters back. Then:]

...okay. Think I'm good.

--okay! Ready, Pancake?!

[ pancake pauses her chatter and gives an excited little shriek, hopping back a few feet from Koosh and raising her wings with a determined expression. ]

Kay, Koosh, get ready to do your thing.

[Getting ready apprently involves jumping up into the air to take flight! How are those tiny wings supporting him? Who even knows.]

Alright-- let's do this. Pancake! Use Screech!

[ And the bat inhales deeply and-- releases a frankly horrid noise from ?? its ears?? weird. Defense lowering! ]

[Koosh wobbles a little in the air under the onslught of the screech.]

Koosh! Use, uh. Use Wing Attack!

[His wings?? Glow??? As he swoops in???]

[ Pancake squeaks, and gets bowled over by the attack, immediately jumping back up and taking to the air. ]

Oh, shoot-- uh-- use Gust!

[ Pancake furiously beats her wings, whipping up a surprisingly strong wind in Koosh's direction. ]

[Koosh flutters and flaps, momentarily shoved toward the ground by the strong gust before he recovers.]

Okay. Uh. Hone... claws?

[Please hold while Koosh goes and lands on something hard so that he can sharpen his claws for a sec.]

[ req seems to be getting REAL into this. also pancake but, you know ]

-- Get after him, Pancake! Agility!

[ Pancake squeaks an affirmative, flapping mightily-- and swooping down towards Koosh with a crazy burst of speed. ]

Look out, Koosh! Peck him!

[Koosh lifts back up into the air instead of dodging - coming in to peck at Pancake.]

You use your own Wing Attack!

[ Pancake shrieks angrily at the pecks, her wings glowing bright as she rapidly swoops in again. But she's looking pretty weakened by now... ]

[Rufflet's definitely flagging a little here, too.]

Quick, uh - Fury Attack!

[Whatever it looks like when a small round bird gets mad, that's happening right now.]

[stakesthesame]

[ The first hit glances, and Pancake swoops in again to hit-- but the next hit sends Pancake crashing to the ground.

She valiant pushes herself up again, growling, but-- nothing doing. She collapses, down for the count. ]

-- oh!

[ Req trots over to pick her up, a little worried, and Pancake makes some sad squeaky noises. :( i faaaailed ]

Hey, you did good.

[Rufflet flaps on over to sit on Hurricane's shoulder, and he heads over with Req to check on Pancake.]

She okay?

[stakesthesame]

Yeah, just a little scuffed up and tired. There's s'posed to be healing places for these guys, so let's head over.

[ motions for him to follow, holding noibat to her chest. ]

That was really cool! Congrats, dude.

[He scritches gently at the feathers of Koosh's neck as he follows Req toward the healing place.]

It was all her. I had no idea what I was doing.
