Pokemon: Downtown
This is where people come to play it seems. The Battle Arena, where you can challenge your friends, rivals, or anyone really, sits side-by-side the town's Pokemon Center where you can get your Pokemon healed for free after a rousing battle. You and your Pokemon partner (even your entire unit!) can star in short plays to be aired at the movie theater or even beauty pageants showcasing their new hair-cuts and clothes. There's a karaoke bar, a small theme park, an arcade.

Hey, you. You really couldn't wait?
[The Blitzle looks up and canters a little, excited.]

After this, maybe we should go turn them loose outside and let 'em wear themselves out a bit.

I'll just check the book out and we can get going.

[The Zebstrika seems intent on proving him wrong. It comes to a stop beside him and butts him with her head, affectionate. Also, almost hard enough to knock him over.]

The phone says it's called a Zebsrika now. Apparently Blitzles turn into these.

[He sets a hand on the Zebstrika, careful, and fixes her with a Look.]
You could have warned me.
[The Zebstrika snorts and stamps her foot.]

...I guess it could have been.
[To the Zebstrika:]
Was it?
[She just stamps her foot again, harder than before.]

...I still don't know what it's trying to tell you. I'm bad at this.

So much for the code.
