You can cut vocal chords without killing someone. Wouldn't guess that's what they're aiming for with that point value, but it is possible. Didn't say slit someone's throat for a reason . . .

Never in my life have I been asked why I don't want to slit a guy's throat and I'm super not prepared to answer this question but uhhhh do I need a reason other than "I don't want to"? Because I really would just rather not, y'know?

There's a lot of reasons not to. You don't want to be responsible for ending a life for a moment, you can't bring yourself to do it out of disgust or fear, it isn't socially acceptable, and so on. Might be a good time to think which of those reasons is yours.

Right. A-And this isn't gospel . . . But, what I see is, um, well, strategically, we've been given a higher scoring hand. We should take advantage of it? Granted, we need to sit on it this round. See if they're sharing out scores, see where everyone else is at. If they do, we don't want to have responded, mm, strongly when everyone else decided to go lightly. Generally. No need to draw attention by being one of the higher scoring units in the first round, either. Puts us through too much without any chance of success.

If they don't . . . Ah, we could use the time. To prepare. See what happens on the next hand. We still have something strong to come back with . . .
