"Yeah," though she doesn't actually have anything to continue with, so she lets it drop. "You really think all these flowers're okay?"

"Sure, s'just gifts. Why, there somethin' wrong with 'em?"

Frowns at them again. “Nah... Guess not.” She purses her lips, then barring any other indications, she’ll go peek into the dressing room.

It's just separated by another curtain-- not too much privacy. There's a few outfits hanging on a rolling closet thing, and a makeup drawer in front of the mirror but nobody's here yet.

Alright. She’ll take a quick look in the drawer, just in case.

Just some used makeup, seems like.

Seems like stuff that should be there, so...okay, sure, she’ll leave it if nothing feels funny. It’s taken longer than expected but she does want to speak with Req. Barring other pings she’ll head back to the clearing.

You don't get too much farther than a couple of steps; as you try to exit, you open the curtain to find Requiem already entering, bass strapped to her back and carrying a case in her other hand, saying something in passing to Doodles--

then pausing when she sees you, to grin. "Hey! Already here?"

“Wouldn’t miss it for the world.” She smiles. “I ain’t too much in your way, am I?”

"No way!" she says. "I got some time before I gotta go on, so let's hang out? Sorry I couldn't wait for you back at the house..."

She shakes her head. “You gotta do what you gotta do. Sorry for wandering off. Would definitely rather chill with you, given the choice.

“Got food too, if you’re up for a bite.”

"Oh, dude, I'm starved," she says, holding the curtain open so you can go back into the dressing room.

She takes her bass off and sets it aside once you're both in, and gestures for you to take the seat while she leans back against the desk.

"Didja take care of what you had to do?"

“Yeah, pretty sure I got that handled.” She places the bags of treats on the desk beside Req, inviting her to dig in. Then eases off the inventory satchel and drops it in a corner away from everything (well, as much as that’s possible in such a small room).

“What kind of show you got planned for us?”

She doesn't seem to question the other bag, but eagerly digs into the one with the food to pull it out and dig in, taking a bite before offering you one as well.

"Just the usual stuff. Kinda did this last minute for funsies so it's just a few songs."

She leans in to take the bite; stays standing closer against her after, attempting not to crowd but still resting her hand light on Req's knee.

"Anything new or just old favorites?"

Mm. The food tastes lovely; salty, savory...

... strangely bland, at the end, like all the taste fades away entirely, and all you can think of is red.

Req leans in at that touch, curling down to press a kiss to her lips, possibly because there's some sauce there but who knows. "Mostly just some covers."

Ah... Nemesis pulls up a smile nevertheless--easier with the sweet kiss.

"Oh yeah? Your original stuff is always so good, though. Trying to switch it up some?

"I'm feeling lazy," she says, pressing another kiss to her lips before pulling back, so she can go for some more of that food.

"'Sides, my new album ain't done yet."

Chuckles, just watching her eat. "Oh yeah? Saw some of the tracks on your reel-to-reel... Hope you don't mind we went into your place. Didn't know you weren't home. But maybe you could play some for me later, if you want."

"Nah, sh'kool," she says, mouth full. She swallows. "You know you're always allowed over whenever you want anyway.

But I'd love to play for you. Just sorry you'd already heard em before they were done. "

She shakes her head. "Didn't listen to the songs, don't worry. I figured hearing it live'd be better than the recording."

"Oh, good. Well, it will be.

... when I'm done with 'em," she says, setting the food aside to curl a hand over the one on her knee.

"Guess I'll just have to be patient for once." She squeezes Req's knee warmly. "Though it can't take that long, can it?

"It's defs gonna be done by the end of the year. Cross my heart and all."

"Don't gotta go that far," and she cants in a little more. "If there's something I can do to help, uh, let me know."
