HEART GAME: REQUIEM (run 1)
You awaken in the ☆ZRAEL dorm common room. It’s dark. Darker than usual, and the reason why is immediately apparent: the lamps are all extinguished, the stars have disappeared, and the moon has shifted to new. The ocean below the glass panes of the floor is silent and still. Everything feels cold and unmoving, not unlike a painting.

"Nah. I walked out and forgot to prop the door open, so, here I am."

Guess I'll have to head out in the other direction.
[to the cave mouth!]

She looks a little hurt, but doesn't say anything except, "If, you uh... see Hurricane out there, let him know I'm here?" And she goes back to quietly searching.
From the cave mouth you can see in the distance the ruins of a city or the dark edge of a forest.

[the city ruins look interesting, but let's check out the forest first]
DEEP FOREST
There's tons of little hidey-holes and niches here in the roots and rocks.

Re: DEEP FOREST
- Pine cones: throw as an extra move during your turn for 1d3 more damage.
- Cardboard Tube: Someone’s paper towel leftovers, ew. 1d4 damage. Might as well just use your fists.
- Bucket: Maybe you can use this as a hat…? It’s got eyeholes. +2 AC
- A handful of glowing green orbs that don't seem to do much of anything.
Re: DEEP FOREST
this forest is terrible and useless, i'm going back to see about that city that was much more interesting]
CITY REMAINS
But you continue to the edge of the forest and abruptly stumble into the burned-out remains of a city. Skyscrapers are crumbling, but the bombs haven’t touched this place in a long time, by the looks of it. Plant life is starting to grow and garbage and pieces of machinery have been abandoned where they lay.

Re: CITY REMAINS
- Rifle: A rifle with two bullets. Roll INT to fire. 1d8 dmg
- Trashcan Lid: well… you can PROBABLY use this as a shield? +4 AC
You also hear footsteps, briefly...
Re: CITY REMAINS
...Hello? Is someone here?
Re: CITY REMAINS
Re: CITY REMAINS
Re: CITY REMAINS
A familiar blonde head pokes from around the edge of a building.
"Uh-- hey. Sorry, I thought I heard someone around here..."
Re: CITY REMAINS
Re: CITY REMAINS
"She is? ... I'll meet up with her later then..."
He pauses, looking back into the city itself.
"... Can I actually ask you for some help?"
Re: CITY REMAINS
[points over his shoulder in that direction]
Anyway, what do you need?
Re: CITY REMAINS
"There's a vampire here that I'm kind of worried about. I mean... this whole place's crawling with them, practically, but one of the real mean ones is here. Thought it might be best to get rid of it."
Re: CITY REMAINS
[holds up the stake he found]
Good thing I've got this.
Re: CITY REMAINS
"That IS the traditional way to get rid of 'em!
Come on, it usually hangs out by the harbor."
Re: CITY REMAINS
[what could go wrong]
Re: CITY REMAINS
Hurricane leads you through the city, quietly, listening. From an alley up ahead, you hear... snuffling?
Re: CITY REMAINS
...Is that it?
Re: CITY REMAINS
"... yeah, probably. If we're quiet maybe we can get the jump on it."
Hurricane starts to creep around the corner.
