Note: please be as cryptic as possible regarding any specific actions your character takes when discussing them in the game channel to avoid influencing everyone else!
[There is no one guarding the entrance to the village when you arrive!
You can enter the village freely-- it’s a normal village that corresponds to... RPG aesthetics and the Japanese idea of what a medieval European village should be, obviously. Nothing you haven't seen before. It’s late, but there are several people crowding the streets, and all of them are heading towards the direction of the main square, talking between themselves and laughing.
The main path seems to lead to the church. You can also go right, or follow the smell of bread.]
[You can tell this is the bakery because it smells like bread-- but not because of anything they have on display behind the window. After all, there’s nothing there. Just empty trays...
The baker’s wife notices you, and comes out of the store.]
[Musicians are setting up on a stage! There are tables set up with food --yes, there are the famous meat skewers, and they look and smell delicious unless you don't like meat-- and there’s apple ale and mulled wine for everyone!
It looks like the whole village has gathered here to mingle, drink, drink more, and enjoy themselves.
But it's not just the villagers who are here! Some people are wearing Imeeji clothing. In fact, they may even seem familiar to you.]
[he doesn't seem to understand at first, but then he turns around warily, and unsheathes his sword, taking a fighting stance to face the trunk. the shadows are not that clear from this position...]
This battle system is turn-based. An action’s success will be decided with a simple dice roll to be specified in chan. Success against an enemy can be measured in successful attacks and weapon class.
Weapon class: You can check a weapon’s class in its Stacia Window. A successful attack made with a Class 5 weapon may not kill a Goblin in one strike, but a successful attack made with a Class 15 weapon will! Try to find and wield stronger weapons for a better chance at a one-hit KO. Stronger foes will require better weapons-- or many, many turns and a lot of luck. This feels like a paid gacha endorsement, but it’s not. You have to explore and level up. You can’t whale for this.
Imagination (Appendix): You can bypass the need for a dice roll by using the power of imagination in certain ways! My System 3 description wasn’t complete due to c&p fail, so this is a good time to remedy that.
No matter what you do, you will always need a catalyst of some sort. For example, you may be able to Imagine a whip becoming a snake and have the snake perform an attack (why would you) (well, maybe you want to poison your enemy?!), but you won’t be able to summon a snake out of nowhere, or to turn a dagger into a snake unless you get really creative with your justification of why a snake might arguably have the shape of a dagger in a dormant state. We’d have to roll dice for this because of how far-fetched it would be. You can make your weapon bigger, but you can’t change its Class to a higher one.
Basically, you cannot use the power of imagination to override the mechanics in place, but you can use it to maximize your chances.
Please don’t consult whether something can be done or not OOCly! Let your characters the limits of this for themselves if need be (and avoid giving other people ideas in chan).
[as soon as she says that, he sets off running towards the trunk. two goblins come out from behind it, holding up their weapons. Sol doesn't waste time to activate a vertical slash attack with his sword, but you can't afford to watch. After all, there was a third goblin, and it's coming at you, sporting what looks like a grin on its face.]

It's not, don't worry.
Anyway, be right back!
[and she's using Quick as a Wink to get there fast]

Would this be enough to buy meat skewers...?
no subject
Oh, no, no, the meat skewers are free to eat. They are part of the festivities. But this is enough to buy two pieces of bread.
Are you not from here?

Please come in.
[there is only Very Meh Bread in there. you can tell it's going to be bad. she puts two pieces in a bag and hands it to her]

Thank you.

already on her way out]
The main square, right? For the meat skewers?
no subject
Thank you for your patronage.

[waves and... zooms to... wherever the square is.
(she'll probably get a little lost at first, but at least it'll be quick)]

what.
no, no. first food. she's going to take a few of those skewers and stuff them inside the bag with bread and then also... some apple ale.
and let's pray to god it doesn't all spill as she speeds on her way back]
no subject
When you get back, the light of the day is all but gone. You can see Sol waving his arm at you thanks to the bonfire!
And since you're looking in that direction, there's no way you won't notice three shadows moving suspiciously behind the tree trunk]
no subject
[oh you know what, food can wait, just drops it all and SPEEDING UP FASTER TO BE BY HIS SIDE]
no subject
Did you see something? Are they goblins?
no subject
[quickly by his side and picking up another tree branch]
no subject
I'll try to distract them. When you see an opening, try to catch fire with that branch and use it to attack them. They hate light and fire.
no subject
Alright.
