All at once a rainbow of bright lights feels as if it is bursting through you. It is an intense experience, but not an unpleasant one. As the colours burn through your skin, and lighting begins to spark through your veins, you feel stronger, you could take on the world right now.

Faintly in the distance, beyond the iridescent light show that overwhelms your vision, you can just about make out some silhouettes, but they’re too blurred, too indistinct and too far to tell anything about them. You can’t see them, but you know they’re welcoming you. You’re wanted here, you’re needed here, and the light is guiding you where you’re meant to go.

Game room

This room looks almost identical to the arcade in Heart Soldier Senshi. It’s full of various machines, dancing and rhythm games, co-op shooting games, you name it and it’s there. The arcade is full of various colourful NPCs, they don’t look very distinct if you aren’t paying attention and they’re easy to ignore, but if you actually try to focus in on them you’ll find they’re various denizens of Imeeji milling around and playing with each other. Everyone seems to be having a good time, if you stay up here with everyone then you know you can have fun with them too.

But there’s something ominous about the corners of the room. The lights are pointed away so it’s darker over there, stray too far away and the sounds of everyone laughing and chattering grows faint. The game cabinets closer to the edges look a little stranger, there's something off about them. There’s probably no need to go look that way.

The further you stray away from the crowd in the main room, the more difficult it becomes to make them out beyond their colours. The sounds of the arcade become muffled, the chatter and laughter of the crowd muffled.

In this shadowy corner, that you enter all alone, it strikes you how far you've isolated yourself from the rest of the crowd. There's a pressure in the air, bearing down on your chest and making it harder to breathe. Are you absolutely sure you want to go down here?

The crowd is no longer bustling about, they move slowly, murmuring to themselves. A couple of the game screens glitch near by you, some fighting game blue screens before rebooting and text rolls across it--

That feels right. The pressure eases off, you're doing the right thing, what a good boy you are. It will all be better now, the screen begins to boot up properly once your hands touch it.

It looked like a simple 2D arcade game, but once you begin playing it you shift into a kind of virtual reality simulator. You are now playing THE HUNGER GAMES.

You start in The Abyss. Many bridges crisscross above a chasm, deep and dark. Looking over the edge, you cannot see the bottom. The good news is, there are so very many bridges-- though none of them of them have rails, each of them a precarious narrow stone path. But with so many, surely one of them may catch you if you fall...

You are equipped with a knife. The right thing to do is to go and stab as many people as you can with it. You would be so good if you did that. Don't you want to go do that?

If she stays completely still and doesn't move, then nothing much happens. The crowd isn't as lively anymore, they move slowly and speak to each other in quiet murmurs. You can hear the music of the games close to you dropping into minor key, but there's no big event triggered.
