[He can do that and enjoy the sights and the fresh air! This place doesn't know pollution either.

Not long after he starts walking, he'll hear a sound coming from deep inside the forest, like something just fell from a high place. It doesn't sound too heavy, like it's just a branch. But then he hears it again.]

[He tries to locate the source of the sound, and his quest leads him deeper inside the forest. After a while, he comes out to a clearing and find himself facing...



...a very big, majestic tree. Well, that’s what he sees at first, but then the sight changes even as he looks at it; the trunk and its enormous roots take on a deep madder color, and the branches and leaves disappear.

The monstrous tree he first saw is now little more than a gigantic trunk, pruned to exaggeration. It has a couple of branches in moss green and cotton candy pink color, and more than a few in navy blue color. In fact, it looks like the navy blue color is starting to spread onto the trunk.]

The source of the sound doesn't seem apparent here, but he may be able to hear a rustling sound that seems to come from the other side of the trunk, as well as someone walking away from it.]

[Sol is approaching a dying bonfire, in Taisho clothing and wearing a big scarf around his neck that you may have seen him wear before. He's carrying some silver and bronze branches.

He turns around to look at him, and now Okami can see that he’s wearing an eyepatch on his right eye. He has dark bags under his eyes... well, eye... and he looks paler than usual. His clothes are torn and have traces of dry blood on them.]

There are goblins around, so I've been fighting them off...

The original Gigas Cedar was a demon tree from my world that sucked up the blessings of the Goddess of Light to make them its own. Here, this is known as the Tree of Life, and it sucks up color instead. It needs to stay the way it is-- but most of the branches stain the trunk. And allowing it to change colors is punishable by monochromatosis.

If I don't want everyone here to die, I have to do this.
