"Oh, hey." She nods acknowledgement, looking at the gifts--all nice stuff, hopefully. "Got everything under control?"

"Yup," he says. "I got done checking anyway, so Req should be here soon. You bring her a gift?"

The chocolates... are chocolates!

Investigating the flowers... Wow, pretty! Red ~~camellias~~ roses are always a favorite, good thing there's so many of them! Maybe the scent of them of getting to you, though, because investigating them for too long makes you a little uncomfortable.

Something in your bag-- inventory-- feels kind of warm.

"Yeah... I mean, I got dinner, at least. Not sure if she wants these flowers, 'specially when there's all these already..."

Is this a familiar uncomfortable or a new one?

...Either way--even though part of her really, really doesn't want to know--she takes a peek into the bag--feels through it, just in case. There is at least one thing in there she would rather not mess up.

About as uncomfortable as "perish with grace" usually feels!

You reach into the bag and get a bit of a sting-- the eye is burning hot.

Doodles' brows raise, peering over at that. "Pretty sure she'd like anything from you-- you uh, good?"

Ah, good times, good times. She drops the eye with a hiss, into a inner pocket of the bag this time so maybe it won't roll around too much (hopefully still it won't burn any holes).

"Y-yeah... I'm great." She hopes, when she finally looks back up at Doodles, that her expression isn't too obviously a lie. "You sure these're the flowers she likes? Since there's so many of 'em and all..." She closes her eyes and opens them a couple times, trying to check if they waver or anything--checks the cards, to see who they're all from.

The cards just seem to be well wishes from fans.

Doodles stares for a minute, vaguely concerned. "Something bite you in there?"

"Nah, just... Been a weird day. Hey--" She turns to look at him, cocking her head. "So--d'you know where I live?"

"Why the hell would I know where you live?" He says, baffled. "Know you're in the Kingdom and live with Hurricane, but it's not like we're having dinner parties together or anything."

"Maybe we should, maybe you're missing out. Anyways, you and the other Zrael guys don't live too close, do you?"

"Most of us live here in the city. Not together, though."

"How come? Thought you were all one big stabby family."

"'Course we're family," he says. "But we all got our own lives anyway."

"Yeah," though she doesn't actually have anything to continue with, so she lets it drop. "You really think all these flowers're okay?"

"Sure, s'just gifts. Why, there somethin' wrong with 'em?"

Frowns at them again. “Nah... Guess not.” She purses her lips, then barring any other indications, she’ll go peek into the dressing room.

It's just separated by another curtain-- not too much privacy. There's a few outfits hanging on a rolling closet thing, and a makeup drawer in front of the mirror but nobody's here yet.

Alright. She’ll take a quick look in the drawer, just in case.

Just some used makeup, seems like.

Seems like stuff that should be there, so...okay, sure, she’ll leave it if nothing feels funny. It’s taken longer than expected but she does want to speak with Req. Barring other pings she’ll head back to the clearing.

You don't get too much farther than a couple of steps; as you try to exit, you open the curtain to find Requiem already entering, bass strapped to her back and carrying a case in her other hand, saying something in passing to Doodles--

then pausing when she sees you, to grin. "Hey! Already here?"

“Wouldn’t miss it for the world.” She smiles. “I ain’t too much in your way, am I?”

"No way!" she says. "I got some time before I gotta go on, so let's hang out? Sorry I couldn't wait for you back at the house..."

She shakes her head. “You gotta do what you gotta do. Sorry for wandering off. Would definitely rather chill with you, given the choice.

“Got food too, if you’re up for a bite.”

"Oh, dude, I'm starved," she says, holding the curtain open so you can go back into the dressing room.

She takes her bass off and sets it aside once you're both in, and gestures for you to take the seat while she leans back against the desk.

"Didja take care of what you had to do?"

“Yeah, pretty sure I got that handled.” She places the bags of treats on the desk beside Req, inviting her to dig in. Then eases off the inventory satchel and drops it in a corner away from everything (well, as much as that’s possible in such a small room).

“What kind of show you got planned for us?”
