Mori's heart
All at once a rainbow of bright lights feels as if it is bursting through you. It is an intense experience, but not an unpleasant one. As the colours burn through your skin, and lighting begins to spark through your veins, you feel stronger, you could take on the world right now.
Faintly in the distance, beyond the iridescent light show that overwhelms your vision, you can just about make out some silhouettes, but they’re too blurred, too indistinct and too far to tell anything about them. You can’t see them, but you know they’re welcoming you. You’re wanted here, you’re needed here, and the light is guiding you where you’re meant to go.

Disaster relief
What is the right thing to do?
Re: Disaster relief
[He takes two quick steps and pushes up off the ground, like it's something he's done a hundred times before - goes barreling through the air, toward the the person screaming on the right, since they sound closest.]
Re: Disaster relief
"P-Please, help me...!"
Re: Disaster relief
[He goes to scoop him up in a princess carry - can't quite manage it, like he's used to having more strength than he currently does. Instead he touches down, crouches on the ground, and maneuvers the boy's arms around his neck.]
Hold on tight. Kay? We gotta book it.
Re: Disaster relief
Where do you take him?
Re: Disaster relief
[Anyone else nearby still in trouble?]
Re: Disaster relief
There are, however, police nearby trying to direct the crowd towards somewhere safe.

One of the trees crashes down in front of your path, and you hear someone laughing.

He scans the trees and picks one out that doesn't look in immediate danger of falling. He fires one of his grappling guns at the top branches and uses the line to haul himself up where he can get a birds' eye view of the area, looking for anyone that seems out of place or, more importantly, like a child left alone. ]

He's walking away from the bodies of two people, getting ever closer to the child's hiding place. You can see it clearly from the trees, he's hidden himself in a small cave area obscured by some bushes, frozen in terror. He'll be found any moment now.

Talon adjusts his direction, recalling his first grappling line and firing the second gun at a second tree, setting up a line that will allow him to swing down into the man's path. He waits one second, two, and then leaps from the tree, swinging with his legs poised to, hopefully, land a surprise kick on the man to knock him off his feet and force his attention away from the boy's hiding place. ]

The kick lands, but knocking the man off his feet is more difficult than that. He's too large, too heavy to take down in one hit. He staggers, but simply reaches out to grab Talon's ankle.
"What's this? A kid playing hero?"

"Hahaha! You don't talk much, huh kid? But your hits are pretty weak."

Sorry, did you want to chat? I'll gladly accept your surrender whenever you'd like to give it.

Re: Disaster relief
He freezes, quickly taking in each detail and prioritizing accordingly. The people need help, and then they need to stop whatever is causing this -
Glancing at Hiryuu for her reaction. ]
Re: Disaster relief
We need to get these people to safety before we can help deal with the immediate threat. Why don't you help the police guide these people--I can go find the child that's been left behind.
[ that sounds like what's happened, anyway. ]
Re: Disaster relief
We're in agreement. Be careful.
[ Beelining over to where the police are trying to help get people out. ]

Re: Disaster relief
For Hiryuu, there are probably dozens of crying children in this forest. But if she follows the closest, into the woods and past the screaming crowds, she'll find that despite how much louder the cries get, the child can't be seen anywhere nearby. The woods are dark, after all.
One of the trees crashes down in front of her path, and she can hear someone laughing.

Although maybe not as bad as realizing she's been tricked?! FOR ONCE she was trying not to go into this heaadfirst...
